How Much Do Surrogates Make?
At Made in the USA Surrogacy, we believe your time, care, and sacrifice deserve to be honored. That’s why our surrogate mothers can earn up to $100,000 in total compensation and benefits. Our compensation structure reflects the standards of top-tier surrogacy services and is designed to fully support our surrogates throughout the entire surrogacy journey.
Your compensation is made up of two parts: base pay and a benefits package, both designed to support you fully throughout your journey.

How Does Surrogate Compensation Work?
The surrogate compensation package will consist of two parts: base compensation and a benefits package. The base compensation will depend on whether you are a first-time surrogate or an experienced surrogate.
1. Base Surrogate Pay
First Time Surrogate Compensation: $65,000
Experienced Surrogate Compensation: $70,000
2. Surrogate Benefit Package
The Surrogate Benefit Package Includes:
- $1,500 medical clearance bonus
- $500 for medication start fee
- $1,500 embryo transfer fee
- Lost wages (based on your current wage)
- $3,500 monthly allowance
- $2,000 housekeeping allowance
- $1,000 in maternity clothing
- 10 days for your spouse’s lost wages
Surrogates receive a life insurance policy and health insurance coverage. Surrogates’ base compensation is not affected by their health insurance status, employment status, marital status, or location. Made in the USA Surrogacy provides all surrogates with an easy-to-follow and generous compensation package.

How Much Do Surrogates Get Paid FAQ
How Does Surrogate Compensation Get Paid?
Once you are confirmed pregnant through an ultrasound with a fetal heartbeat, your base compensation will begin. Your base compensation will be paid to you in monthly installments until you successfully deliver the baby. You will also receive various benefits such as a monthly allowance and a housekeeping allowance. Additional benefits, such as embryo transfer and maternity clothing are paid at different milestones of the process. You may also receive additional compensation for certain procedures, twin pregnancy, bed rest, lost wages, etc. All payments are disbursed to you from the escrow account.
How Much Is A Surrogate Paid For Carrying Multiples?
If you are pregnant with multiples, you will be paid an additional $8,000 per multiple.
How is a Surrogate Paid For Time Off From Work?
If you are required to take time off from work to attend IVF or OBGYN appointments, you will be reimbursed at your current wage amount with proof of a paystub. You are allowed 6 weeks off for a vaginal delivery and 8 weeks for a c-section delivery.
If I am Expected to Travel During My Surrogacy Journey, How are Travel Expenses Paid?
All travel expenses are covered by the intended parents, and coordinated by Made in the USA Surrogacy. Travel arrangements may include: airfare, hotel, rental car, tolls, or mileage.
What Happens if a Surrogate has a Miscarriage?
In the event you experience a miscarriage after you have been confirmed pregnant, you will be paid up until the pregnancy ended at a pro-rated amount. If you require a D&C you will be compensated for this procedure as well.
